We are continually looking for new opportunities to include in the offering of the music ministry at First Presbyterian Church.  Following is a listing of possibilities we hope to add to our schedule in the near future.  Please contact Larry Dodd if you would like more information about these groups.

Youth Choir

Grades Six through Twelve

As we begin 2008, it is our hope to add an opportunity for the youth of our church to participate in the 9:00 and 11:00 am worship services.  Our youth currently have their own worship times on Wednesday evenings with the music leadership being offered by the youth praise band.  Plans are now being designed to utilize this very accomplished ensemble to accompany a remolded youth choir of the past.  This group would sing the songs of current and former contemporary artists.  This group would participate as leaders in worship approximately once a month.  Opportunities may also be available for a choir tour with mission opportunities in either the summer of 2008 or 2009.  Watch your bulletins and newsletter for more information regarding this exciting opportunity to serve.
 

Drama Team

Children - Adult

As William Shakespeare said, "All the World's a Stage," and that's soon to be true here at FPC.  This multi-generational group's offerings will range from religious skits that assist us in worship to appearances in the community and dinner theaters at the church.  Our stage will soon be much more active.  Watch your bulletins and newsletter for more info.

Tower Ringers

Children - Adult

 Do you enjoy the ringing of the cathedral bells in Europe?  Then tower ringing is definitely going to be of interest to you.  This group will provide opportunities for service in our 11:00 am worship service, as well as for special events.  No music reading skills are necessary!  Come be a part as we celebrate the love of God through the beautiful, musical ringing of patterns.  Rehearsals for this group are slated to be scheduled in relationship to the Celebration Ringers rehearsals.
